The new construction process involves several key stages, from initial planning to completion:

Design and Architectural Planning

When starting new construction we meet with our in home architect and designer to create detailed plans for the new structure. This includes architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, and specifications for materials and finishes. Our designer is also your project manager and will walk you through the process of the job.

Permitting and Approvals

Once we have the final plans we will obtain the necessary permits and approvals from local authorities before commencing construction. This process ensures compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.

Foundation Construction

Excavate and prepare the site for the foundation. Construct the foundation, which can be a slab, crawl space, or basement, depending on the design and local conditions.

Framework and Structural Construction

Erect the structural framework of the building. This includes the construction of walls, floors, and roofs. Structural elements such as beams and columns are installed to support the building.

Roofing and Exterior Finishes

Install the roofing system and complete exterior finishes, including siding or stucco, windows, and doors. Ensure proper waterproofing and insulation.

Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Installation

Install the essential systems, such as plumbing, electrical wiring, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). This involves integrating these systems into the framework of the building.

Interior Finishes

Complete interior finishes, including drywall installation, flooring, cabinetry, and painting. This stage transforms the building's structure into a functional and aesthetically pleasing space.

Trim Work and Detailing

Add architectural details, trim work, and any additional decorative elements to enhance the interior and exterior aesthetics.

Final Inspections and Certifications

Schedule inspections by local building authorities to ensure that the construction complies with all codes and regulations. Obtain necessary certifications, such as a Certificate of Occupancy.

Landscaping and Exterior Amenities

Complete landscaping around the building and add any desired exterior amenities, such as walkways, driveways, or recreational spaces.

Client Walkthrough and Handover

Conduct a final walkthrough with the client to ensure satisfaction. Address any remaining issues or concerns. Hand over the keys and relevant documentation to the client.

Throughout the new construction process, effective communication and collaboration among the project team, including architects, contractors, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, are crucial for a successful and timely completion of the project.
